Hi commtech65,
Thank you for your post.
You tin can fix a permanent password in the TeamViewer settings of the remote motorcar. Please open the master window of the remote TeamViewer client and go to "Extras > Options > Security > Personal password". Enter a countersign of your choice, enter information technology once again to confirm it and click on "OK" at the bottom of the window to relieve your choices.
I hope this helps. If you take any other questions, please do non hesitate to let us know!
All the best,

As of Sept xv, 2021 I was able to gear up a Permanent Password on the Free Personal version on my Mac (the intended remote desktop) at:
TeamViewer (in the tiptop bar)> Preferences> Avant-garde tab> Personal Countersign
Hope this helps anyone else with this trouble!

hey there
in response to this solution nearly setting a locked password, you suggested """"Extras > Options > Security > Personal password"""" i can not find the menu path in the extras menu.
I have plant a security tab in the the preferences carte du jour and take set a password but on each luanch of team viewer the ID remains the same simply the 4 digit numerical password changes how do I make sure each reckoner keeps the aforementioned loging info.
I accept gear up an account, added a estimator / device and will add together a further 1 or 2.
will this insure that I dont need to worry about the 4 digit laissez passer word changing ?

The 4-digit countersign (or all the same many digits y'all choose it to be) is just anculling manner of logging in, if youhaven't set a password for a specific motorcar.
For case, if you lot remote a PC at work, and you have pre-prepare the password "password" for it, then you can either remote-in with the password "password", or whatever the irresolute multi-digit lawmaking presented on-screen is.
Just ... don't use "password" as your password

Tried that on a pc merely didnt work - each launch information technology still required a unique password.

Hi Raven,
Thanks for posting the steps required to ready a permanent countersign. I have followed the steps, however:
one. The countersign is not beingness saved, even though I clicked OK at the bottom of the Security page subsequently changing it.
2. Only the randomly generated ID works.
Does the pow change every time? I left a session open on a computer I need to access, but I cannot login with current prisoner of war.
Thank you for the assistance.

Its 2021 information technology looks like unattended remote access is just not possible with Teamviewer
I am struggling to get unattended remote admission working on :
- Macbook Air - host
- macbook Pro - guest
---
I see above says :
"Extras > Options > Security > Personal password".
Simply, at that place is no such setting in the configurations on a Mac version of Teamviewer.
Tin can anyone explain how to set the password or avoid a countersign for computers that are in the allowed list and wish to gain unattended access.
