Beyonce walks the reddish rug at The Lion King world premiere

Beyonce led the stars behind the voices of The Lion King down the red carpet on Tuesday (Jul 10) at the world premiere of the remake of the 1994 Disney movie which uses computer-generated imagery to bring a realistic look to Pride Stone.
Depicting stunning African scenery, the new pic follows the aforementioned plot as the original Oscar-winning animation about lion cub Simba, who flees his kingdom after his villainous uncle Scar connives to accept his father Mufasa'southward place every bit king.
Actor Donald Glover is the vocalization behind the grown-upward Simba, while Beyonce portrays his friend Nala. The cast as well includes Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa) and James Earl Jones, who voiced Mufasa in the 1994 picture show.
"I merely listened to what (Beyonce) had to teach me," Glover said of working with the Grammy Award winner.
"Only very few times practise y'all get to piece of work with somebody equally iconic every bit Beyonce," Glover said. "I was similar, okay, we are like blending this thing together then let me just listen to what she is doing and play off of that."
The King of beasts King was an instant hit with audiences around the world when it was originally released. A hugely successful musical theatre version still runs on New York'southward Broadway and in London.
"Information technology's like a recipe that will be delicious forever, information technology only works," Rogen said of the story.
The Panthera leo King remake, which begins its worldwide movie theater roll-out in China on Friday (Jul 12) earlier hitting other countries side by side week, follows new versions of Aladdin and Dumbo. Information technology is directed past Jon Favreau, who was backside the 2022 remake of The Jungle Book.
